you know, there's this website slack.com which is like. it has a chat function very much like irc but a bit more accessible IMO, allows for pings, has good native mobile apps for ios and android, allows for integration with google docs and shit, plus it isn't blocked at most workplaces since it ostensibly is for work coordination

Seriously though, this latest spat of downtime sounds pretty bad by Plurk standards. I feel bad for you guys.

Yeah, I do wish more people hung out here occasionally, in all seriousness. And, yeah, this latest downtime is just— I think Plurk's acted right maybe a few times since their huge maintenance downtime? And the rest of the time it's been drunk as all hell. orz
